Smothering Silence

When your words betray your eyes, When you laughter dismisses the idea of goodbye! When your tears outweigh any other considerations .. When your miscalculations forget to spare my patience.. When your absence comes posing as an agonising instance, When your silence refuses to take a certain solid stance. When your inquisitiveness glistens in it's own curious light, When your calm holds my implausible fright. When your dilemma frightens me to a fault! When the thought of your withdrawal leaves me cold! When you hold your promises as steadfastly as you can, When you revert to me, without considering the expense,  is when I know, this is how it is, To smile and to be smiled on.. To hear and to be heard. To hold and to be held.. To love and to be loved!

For a moment of the day, I'll assume.. I'll assume that you will listen to me, And feel what I do.. For a moment, if you resist the urge to register my mistakes.. For a moment, if you try to discover the measure of my desolation.. For a moment if you deem to gather than to break! For a moment..  If you probe the circumstances more than my disposition, For a moment, if you spare the bit of brightness been left, For a moment, if you forget to warn my choices, For a moment, if you just not support the idea of remorse or regret! For a moment of the day, I'll assume.. And I'll assume if you let me assume, Because your judgements do not make me brave... And assuming would be my escape!
